PLUGIN INFORMATION
What the plugin does
Plugin capabilities
- Adds a lightbox to standard WordPress Gallery and Image blocks by detecting those blocks in a post and initializing baguetteBox.js.
- Uses a pure JavaScript lightbox implementation with no jQuery dependency.
- Supports image captions, responsive behavior, and swipe gestures through the underlying lightbox script.
- Works with the default Gallery Block, default Image Block, Media and Text Block, and the default Classic Editor Gallery.
- Can also work with certain third-party gallery blocks, including CoBlocks gallery layouts and Meow Gallery, when their selectors/assets are configured.
- Does not add a new Gutenberg block and is designed to be removable without changing the underlying gallery/image content.
- Requires gallery and image links to point to the media/image file for the lightbox to trigger; links to attachment pages or no link will not work.
- Can be extended via filters to enqueue assets for blocks outside posts, change the selector, or adjust the transition animation.
TRANSLATION BOUNDARY
