Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how REEID collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit reeid.com, contact us, purchase our products or services, or use connected REEID services.

OVERVIEW

Privacy in the REEID ecosystem

REEID GCE CO., LTD. (“REEID”, “we”, “our” or “us”) provides multilingual software, translation technology, implementation services and related professional services.

This Policy applies to personal information processed through REEID websites, customer and partner interactions, purchases, support communications, REEID Translate products and connected REEID services.

Different REEID products can operate in different ways. In particular, translation processing may occur locally through a customer-configured provider or through connected REEID services such as Cloud Assist, depending on the workflow selected by the user.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information depends on how you interact with REEID.

Information you provide

When you contact us, purchase a product, request support, submit a form, apply to a partner program or otherwise communicate with REEID, we may receive information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Company or organization
  • Job title or role
  • Billing or business address
  • Information included in enquiries and support requests
  • Account, licensing or purchase-related information

Website and technical information

When you use our websites or connected services, technical systems may generate information such as IP address, browser and device information, referring pages, requested URLs, timestamps, diagnostic information, security events and service activity.

Communications

If you communicate with REEID by email, contact form, support system or another communication channel, we may retain the communication and related information where reasonably necessary to respond, provide support, maintain service records or protect our legal interests.

2. TRANSLATION & CLOUD PROCESSING

Translation data depends on the workflow you choose.

REEID Translate supports different translation modes. The data sent outside your WordPress installation therefore depends on your configuration.

Local or BYOK workflows

When you configure a third-party AI or translation provider using your own credentials, content may be sent directly to that provider as required to perform the requested translation. That provider’s terms and privacy practices apply to its processing.

Cloud Assist

When Cloud Assist or another connected REEID service is used, information required to perform the requested operation may be transmitted to REEID-operated services. Depending on the feature, this may include translation content, source and target languages, prompt or glossary context, editor context and technical workflow information.

Cloud Assist may use external AI or infrastructure providers where necessary to process a request. Translation content should therefore not be submitted where your confidentiality, privacy, contractual or regulatory obligations prohibit such processing.

Translation cache

Supported Cloud Assist workflows may store reusable translation results and technical cache identifiers in order to provide cache reuse, reduce repeated processing and operate the service.

Customers remain responsible for deciding which content is appropriate to submit for automated or cloud-based translation.

3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to operate, support and improve REEID.

  • Provide products, services and requested functionality.
  • Process purchases, licensing and customer accounts.
  • Respond to enquiries and provide technical or customer support.
  • Operate connected services such as license validation and supported Cloud Assist functionality.
  • Maintain service security, prevent abuse and investigate technical problems.
  • Understand and improve website, product and service performance.
  • Communicate important product, account, service or legal information.
  • Send marketing communications where permitted by applicable law and subject to your communication preferences.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message. Service, security, licensing, transaction and account communications may still be sent where they are necessary to provide a product or service.

4. LEGAL BASES

Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis for processing, REEID may rely on one or more of the following, depending on the circumstances:

  • Contract: processing necessary to provide a product or service you requested.
  • Legitimate interests: operating, securing, supporting and improving our business and services, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent: where you have given permission for a specific processing activity.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with applicable law.

5. SHARING INFORMATION

We do not treat personal information as a product for sale.

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to operate our business and services, including to:

  • Hosting, infrastructure and technical service providers.
  • Payment and commerce providers involved in processing purchases.
  • Communication, support and business-operation providers.
  • AI or translation providers selected or required by a translation workflow.
  • Professional advisers where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities or other parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or similar corporate transaction, subject to applicable law.

6. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Services may involve processing in more than one country.

REEID, its infrastructure providers and third-party service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you are located.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal data, we use or require appropriate transfer mechanisms and contractual protections where applicable.

7. RETENTION & SECURITY

We retain information only as reasonably necessary.

Retention periods depend on the type of information, the service involved and the reason it was collected. Information may be retained where necessary to provide services, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, protect security, enforce agreements or comply with legal obligations.

REEID uses administrative, organizational and technical measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet-connected system can provide an absolute guarantee of security.

8. COOKIES & WEBSITE TECHNOLOGY

Website technology may create technical and usage information.

REEID websites may use cookies or similar technologies required for website functionality, security, preferences, commerce, analytics or other configured website features.

Your browser and, where available, website consent controls can be used to manage optional cookies. Disabling certain technologies may affect website functionality.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Certain information may also need to be retained where required by law or where another lawful basis for retention applies.

If REEID processes personal information solely on behalf of one of its customers, requests concerning that information may need to be directed first to the relevant customer acting as the data controller.

10. PUBLIC & THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Third-party services have their own privacy practices.

REEID websites and products may contain links to, integrations with or functionality provided by third parties. Information you provide directly to those third parties is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Information you intentionally publish in a public forum, social network, review, comment or other public location should be treated as publicly available information.

11. CHILDREN

REEID products are intended for business and professional use.

Our services are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to REEID inappropriately, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed.

12. POLICY CHANGES

We may update this Policy as REEID evolves.

We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our products, services, technology, business operations or legal obligations. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
