  • Optional experimental support for CDN/Varnish/Nginx/external caching services that adds a special URL parameter to image URLs; tested with MaxCDN, Varnish, and Nginx; cannot handle CSS background images in this mode.
  • Format handling constraints: supports JPEG, PNG, and GIF (not animated); explicitly not supported for WEBP and animated GIF.
  • Resized-image delivery via server-side PHP script and requires `.htaccess` modifications to function properly; removes the added `.htaccess` code when disabled.
