What the plugin does
Plugin capabilities
- AI-generated image metadata: generates ALT text, and optionally titles and captions for images in the Media Library (including on upload and via manual/bulk actions).
- Media Library management UI: provides a dedicated “Media SEO Table” listing images with inline-editable ALT text/title/caption, plus filtering (e.g., Missing ALT / Optimized / WooCommerce), search, and pagination.
- Bulk processing and automation: includes a bulk “Vision Scanner” to process the entire library with progress/counters/logging, and a nightly WP-Cron background scan that fills missing ALT text in small batches.
- Provider integration modes: supports using the WordPress AI Client (configured under Settings → Connectors on WordPress 7.0+) or direct provider API keys (Google Gemini or OpenAI) with a built-in “Test connection” flow.
- Image handling for AI requests: sends a downscaled copy (max 1024px on the longest side) in most modes; supports a “Filename only” mode where the image itself is not sent.
- WebP copy generation and delivery: creates .webp copies for the original and thumbnail sizes (originals are not modified) and can optionally serve WebP to browsers that support it, with URL swapping based on Accept: image/webp and a Vary: Accept header.
- WooCommerce-aware context: detects product featured/gallery images and uses product title, categories, and SKU as context for generated descriptions, with optional store/brand keywords applied where they fit.
- Developer hooks: exposes filters for prompt/result/context/model/image size and an action hook after every generation.
