What the plugin does
Plugin capabilities
- Integrates with the BarterBanner external service to facilitate a credit-based traffic exchange system where sites earn credits by displaying recommendation blocks and spend them to be shown on other participating sites.
- Automatically injects widget scripts into WordPress pages to render native ad formats, including recommendation cards (1, 3, or 5 per block) and standard banner sizes (300×250, 728×90, 160×600, 320×50, responsive).
- Provides multiple placement methods for compatibility with various site structures: automatic insertion inside posts via settings, manual placement using the `[barterbanner]` shortcode, and programmatic inclusion via the `do_action( 'barterbanner_block' )` hook for page builders.
- Implements domain verification by printing a meta tag in the site header, allowing users to activate their site without modifying template files directly.
- Includes an optional server-side reporting feature that sends aggregated page view counts to the BarterBanner API to track delivery metrics, distinct from client-side impression tracking.
- Detects common page builder environments (such as Oxygen, Bricks, and Elementor) and provides specific guidance or alternative integration hooks when automatic insertion is bypassed.
TRANSLATION BOUNDARY
