  • Supports template types for: Post Type Templates (used when creating posts of a specified post type), Post Type Archive Template (used when an archive page for a post type is requested, with a General fallback), and Taxonomy Archive Templates (used when a taxonomy archive page is requested, with a General fallback).
  • Provides “Special Templates” (e.g., 404 page) as an additional template category.
  • Implements a concept/published workflow: templates are created as concepts by default and become active only when published; templates can be deactivated by changing published state back to concept or deleting them.
  • Archive rendering can be customized in classic themes by providing PHP template files in the (sub)theme with specific naming conventions (e.g., abet–archive.php, abet–archive.php, and broader abet-archive.php variants).
  • Template activation is tied to theme type support: the plugin states that the last two template categories (archive content editing and special templates) are only available for classic themes and not supported for block themes.
