- Supports real-time sync (optional) that forwards WooCommerce product data and published WordPress page/post content to ChatSell when enabled, to keep the AI and knowledge base up to date.
- Loads widget JavaScript files from a configured ChatSell frontend URL (default https://chatsell.co), enabling frontend widget functionality that can include analytics/measurement scripts as part of the delivered widget assets.
- Provides a WordPress admin connection flow that, when connecting, transmits site metadata to ChatSell (site address/name, WordPress/WooCommerce versions, plugin version, store currency/base country/site language, and published product count).
- On WooCommerce stores, creates a read-only WooCommerce REST API key (named “ChatSell (auto-generated)”) for ChatSell to read the product catalogue; the plugin deletes this key when disconnected.
- Registers a read-only REST endpoint `GET /wp-json/chatsell/v1/handshake` used only during connection to confirm the request origin and return non-credential site details (site name, whether WooCommerce is active, plugin version, and whether a supplied one-time value matches).
