- Uses a server-side WordPress REST API proxy so the ImageManager API key is stored encrypted in the WordPress database and is never transmitted to the browser/network traffic.
- Stores only the selected Image ID as post_meta in WordPress; it does not upload, store, or manage image files in WordPress.
- Supports three per-field return formats for the selected image: relative URL, absolute URL, or a metadata object (metadata requires API calls and is cached).
- Implements metadata caching via WordPress Transients with configurable TTL (default 1 hour; can be disabled or set to never expire).
- Optionally integrates with WPGraphQL: registers GraphQL field type handling when WPGraphQL and WPGraphQL for ACF are active, exposing return formats as String and a custom ImageManagerImage object for metadata.
