- Sends only the post title (and optional “Site context” setting text) to an OpenAI-compatible chat completion endpoint when slug generation is needed; does not send post body content or user data
- Falls back silently to WordPress default behavior if AI slug generation fails, so publishing is not blocked
- Skips slug generation for titles already in English, for slugs set manually by the user, and for already-published posts; does not run on autosave and does not run for low-privilege users
- Supports configurable AI provider by allowing an OpenAI-compatible endpoint (default SiliconFlow) with an API key; only HTTPS endpoints are accepted
- Enforces an hourly site-wide cap on generation requests
- Respects explicitly supplied slugs during programmatic/REST-based publishing (if a request includes a slug, that value is used)
