  • Intentionally excludes the default WordPress login form at `wp-login.php` to reduce risk of administrator lockout from incorrect key configuration.
  • Requires Google reCAPTCHA v2 Checkbox Site Key and Secret Key; does not support reCAPTCHA v3 keys.
  • Fail-closed behavior: if Google verification is unavailable, protected submissions are rejected (unverified submissions cannot bypass protection).
  • Loads Google reCAPTCHA JavaScript from `https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api.js` on pages containing protected forms.
  • Verifies submissions by sending the reCAPTCHA response token, configured Secret Key, and visitor IP address to `https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify` to determine validity.
