- Search query handling path: shopper search queries are sent from the browser directly to the NitroSearch engine (not through the WordPress server) once connected.
- Catalog data sent for indexing: after “Connect store,” the plugin sends product data (names, descriptions, SKUs, prices, stock status, categories, attributes, images, permalinks) and continues sending product changes as they occur.
- Search usage analytics with cookieless/anonymous events: sends anonymous, cookieless usage events (query typed, number of results, result clicks) to `api.nitrosearch.io`, with no shopper identifiers/cookies/IP-based profiles, and supports disabling via `NitroSearch → Appearance → Search usage data`.
- Search analytics reporting in wp-admin and NitroSearch account: provides a summary in wp-admin (e.g., top queries, what got clicked/added to carts, and searches with no results) with full dashboards in the NitroSearch account.
- Optional storefront credit: “Powered by NitroSearch” credit is off by default and, when enabled in Appearance settings, adds a small linked credit in the search box and a line in the site footer.
