Sohay — AI Chatbot for Knowledge Base and WooCommerce compatibility with REEID Translate

Plugin capabilities

• Adds an embeddable AI chat widget to WordPress pages, with the widget able to be hidden globally via an admin setting and gated per-request via a filter.
• Grounds chat answers in a built-in Knowledge Base by matching visitor questions to published KB articles before generating replies.
• On WooCommerce stores (WooCommerce 7.0+), provides in-chat shopping tools that can search/browse the catalog, look up products/variants, read live stock and prices, answer shipping/returns/refunds questions from store pages and KB policy/FAQ articles, and manage the shopper’s cart (add/change/remove) with an Undo button.
• Persists chat transcripts in a built-in admin inbox under “Sohay → Conversations,” with admin-side capabilities to search/filter/assign/reply/pin/close conversations.
• Supports AI provider selection between OpenAI and Google (Gemini), with provider-specific model usage for chat responses and Knowledge Base indexing/search performed via OpenAI regardless of which provider answers the chat.
• Implements spend protection and usage limiting: a daily token cap (reset at UTC midnight) and additional configurable rate limits (per-visitor chat-message rate limiting and a separate guest-token mint rate limit).
• Handles API keys by encrypting them at rest in the WordPress database (AES-256-GCM), masking them in the admin UI after save, excluding them from the WordPress REST API, and only sending each key to its corresponding upstream provider.
• Provides developer extensibility via multiple filters/actions, including a widget render gate (`sohaychat_should_render_widget`), tool allowlisting (`sohaychat_tools`), model allowlists per provider, conversation scoping for non-admin operators, and KB search cache TTL control (`sohaychat_kb_search_cache_ttl`).
