- Caches both API responses and downloaded translation files locally for performance.
- Supports multisite/network activation and performs per-site locale detection (including locales from network-site and user-profile language settings).
- Provides WP-CLI command-line management for translation-related operations.
- Sends limited metadata to the translation service (plugin text domain and installed version; requested locale codes; and update-source classification when available) and does not include site URL, WordPress version, user identifiers, credentials, or site content in the request body; the service receives the connection IP address.
- Deactivation stops external requests.
