  • Frontend behavior: uses vanilla JavaScript and loads only on pages that render a share bar; no jQuery dependency; no CDN/remote fonts/external stylesheet.
  • Share click measurement (optional): can record share clicks in a table on the site’s own server (one row per post, network, placement, and day).
  • Privacy/data minimization for click recording: when enabled, records no IP address, no browser fingerprint, and no user ID; nothing leaves the site for click recording.
  • Optional analytics event forwarding: if Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, or Google Tag Manager scripts are already present, the plugin can fire a share event through those existing scripts; it does not load or configure those services itself.
  • Outbound network navigation model: share buttons generate ordinary links to the enabled networks’ public share pages; nothing happens until the visitor clicks, at which point the visitor’s browser navigates to the network.
  • Optional click-recording endpoint rate limiting: uses a hashed IP address for a short-lived rate limit stored in a transient for sixty seconds; the raw address is not written to disk.
