- Configurable grouping modes: supports “Gallery Blocks Mode”, “All Images Mode” (group all qualifying images within detection scope into one slideshow), and “No Grouping Mode” (each image opens individually with no navigation).
- Media-link–based activation with scope control: activates only on links that point to supported media (image files, YouTube/Vimeo URLs, or direct MP4 links), with default detection limited to the main content area and an optional setting to extend detection to the front page and blog home (and to use whole-page link detection on posts/pages).
- Manual exclusion mechanism: links or wrapper elements with the `wepop-disable` class are skipped by the popup activation logic.
- Per-image popup disable toggle in the block editor: provides a block-editor sidebar toggle to disable a specific image from opening in the popup (instead opening in a new tab).
- Supported media types for popup rendering: images (jpg, jpeg, png, gif, webp, svg), video services (YouTube, Vimeo), and direct video files (MP4).
- Lightbox caption behavior: alt text captions are displayed in a dedicated strip below the image (and in slideshow mode, captions slide in sync with the current image).
