PLUGIN INFORMATION
What the plugin does
Plugin capabilities
- Live human chat runs within the WordPress site using secure AJAX polling over the WordPress REST API (no Pusher/third-party live chat service).
- Live chat endpoints enforce nonces, capability checks, input sanitization, output escaping, and rate limiting; session tokens are 32-character cryptographically random strings to prevent session enumeration.
- Chat message content is sanitized server-side; rich chat HTML is additionally sanitized client-side using a bundled local copy of DOMPurify (vendored, not loaded from a CDN).
- Live chat data is stored in the site’s own WordPress database, and nothing is sent to an external service for live chat operation.
- When using AI modes with an external provider, customer messages and conversation/store/product context are sent to the configured AI provider; in “Basic AI” mode and during live human chat, no external AI service is used.
- Live chat handoff requests are queued and visible in a dedicated admin “Live Chats” screen; admins with the manage_options capability can see and reply to all live chats.
TRANSLATION BOUNDARY
