PLUGIN INFORMATION

What the plugin does

Plugin capabilities

  • Renders a lightweight, fully customizable reading progress bar that updates while the user scrolls (smooth initialization, then a lightweight update function).
  • Supports positioning the progress bar at the top of the screen, bottom of the screen, or below sticky elements; includes a fallback behavior for small screens.
  • Can be configured to display on selected post types and/or individual posts (default behavior is on single blog posts).
  • Implements attachment to multiple admin-defined sticky elements; uses the first visible element for positioning/attachment, and falls back to displaying at the top when no visible element is available.
  • Provides an estimated reading time feature (marked beta) that can be disabled if it does not work with the theme; described as having no effect when switched off.
  • Supports right-to-left display by using `dir=rtl` on the HTML tag.

TRANSLATION BOUNDARY

WP Reading Progress capabilities and translatable content are documented separately.

Official documentation describes the plugin functionality, but does not currently identify specific text shown to visitors that can be translated.
