artificial intelligence in translation

At REEID, we’re a technology-first company—so it would be misleading to say we avoid Artificial Intelligence in the translation. We do use AI. But only where it truly adds value, and always under human control.

Where We Use AI in Translation

1. Machine Translation (MT) Scenarios
We apply MT in specific customer cases—mainly for low-risk content or as a first draft. Every MT output is reviewed and refined by a human linguist to ensure clarity, tone, and accuracy.

2. Data Handling
AI helps us manage complex translation data. It:

  • Extracts content from websites, PDFs, and databases
  • Reinserts translations into original file formats
  • Checks for completeness, formatting, and glossary consistency

3. Terminology Management (REEID proprietary LLM)
We use AI to:

  • Automatically build glossaries based on source terms and context
  • Extract terminology from texts
  • Inject glossary terms into target content

4. Quality Assurance (QA) (REEID proprietary LLM)
AI assists in:

  • Comparing source and target segments
  • Spotting missing or inconsistent translations
  • Flagging style or grammar issues

5. Contextual Support
When needed—and with client consent—we may use cloud-based LLMs for deeper analysis. This helps:

  • Understand complex or industry-specific content
  • Research idioms, cultural nuances, or unclear phrases

Our Philosophy

AI improves speed, consistency, and efficiency—but it doesn’t replace humans. At REEID, human expertise stays at the heart of every project.

We use AI as a tool to assist translators—not as a substitute for their judgment. This approach ensures translations are accurate, culturally sensitive, and rich in meaning—qualities only skilled humans can deliver.

AI can process information quickly, but it lacks the ability to truly understand nuance, context, or cultural subtleties. It doesn’t recognize tone shifts, emotional intent, or the deeper layers of meaning that experienced linguists naturally detect. That’s where human expertise makes all the difference.

By combining the speed and consistency of AI with the insight and intuition of professional translators, we’re able to deliver work that’s not just technically correct—but also resonates with the target audience. It’s this balance of automation and human intelligence that defines our quality-first approach.

At REEID, we believe the future of translation is not about choosing between AI or humans—it’s about empowering skilled people with smart tools to do their best work.

By combining innovation with human insight, REEID keeps quality high and workflows smart.
